A romantic tiny-home, nestled in a hidden forest.
The Kama (Love) Cabin is a double-story tiny-home, specialy designed for a beautiful spot at the heart of the Sima Kade valley - a hidden ridge that offers incredible views of our cliffs and the Magalies mountain. The ridge is capped by a red-ivory tree and looks over a small river-side forest. The cabin features a window-wall that slides out of sight, opening the house up to the bush-forest. The living room flows out to the fire-boma, with an outside bath positioned on the edge looking onto the cliffs. The wood burning fireplace and warm wooden interior makes for cosy winters.
Built during the first lock-down, the Kama Cabin is the latest addition to Sima Kade. An experiment in prefabricated building, we constructed the majority of the structure off-site and towed it into place, taking about 2 months to complete. The cabin has the feel of a sail boat, with everything between the bedroom, kitchen and living area perfectly proportioned to save space. The Cabin is designed for couples, but also has a couch/bed in the downstairs living/kitchen room. We always wanted to build on this site, but are also glad not to have rushed, taking time to understand how the location changes through the different seasons.

Weekend rate: R1100pppn (for up to 2 people) - Fri-Sun & Public Holidays.
Weekday rate: R900pppn (for up to 2 people).
R600pppn for groups of 3 or more.
Please Note: - Rates based on a two-night booking. - Above prices are for 2021. - Rates for 2022 will be subject to a 10% increase. - A 50% deposit is required for all bookings.
Services:
Self-catering does not include staff to clean dishes and the kitchen.
Tents can be arranged for additional guests, please enquire for rates. Bringing your own tents? A camping fee still applies.
Massages & hot stone treatments can be arranged on request. We have partnered with a local business that brought together a group of spa therapists who lost their jobs during the pandemic, creating a mobile spa.
Fire-wood is available for purchase and can be delivered to the Kama Cabin.
Cell reception peaks at 4G in some spots, but can be unreliable. Uncapped internet (Wi-Fi) is available at the reception/house at the entrance to the valley - a 5 minute drive from the Cave House.

Our Surroundings
Magaliesburg has numerous fun activities and sights to see, ranging from hikes to rock pools, canopy tours, game viewing expeditions, balloon rides, war monument sights to visit and stunning cycling routes.
The area also offers many restaurants. There is a well stocked shop 10 minutes away, and we can point you in the direction of our local farmers who supply us with fresh, organic products like dairy, meat and vegetables. Lanseria Airport: 30mins OR Tambo: 1hr 30mins We can arrange an airport shuttle service.
